Please keep in mind that the spiritual nature of our intention necessitates a spontaneous spirit of adventure, so we have tried to leave space for magic to happen! Any changes will be for the benefit of the group.

Day 1— Depart from your gateway city to Lima. Depending on your arrival time, transfer to hotel for rest.

First OfferingsDay 2– Depart for our morning flight to Cusco. Bus to the Sacred Valley. On the way to our beautiful hotel we will stop at the Chinchero market and visit the amazing Earth Altar, the magical Hatan Chincana, the place of our first initiation. We will spend the night in the Sacred Valley. (BLD)

Pisac TrailDay 3—This is actually one of my favorite days. First we will enjoy the Indian market of Pisac where there are both traditional and tourist markets— the best in the region. The entire mountain behind the village is considered an archaeological treasure, and for good reason. We are bussed several miles up to the top, from where we can hike downhill past ancient sites and burial grounds along an amazing trail with breathtaking views. We arrive at an Inka temple replete with Intiwatana where we have a ceremony, then continue to a place where our bus has driven to meet us. This is one of the most beautiful walks in this region. Over night in Sacred Valley. (BLD)

MorayDay 4—Morning visit Moray, an ancient Inca site with circular terraces that used to create exceptional conditions or micro climates that fostered domestication, acclimatization and hybridization of a wide array of wild vegetable species that were modified or adapted for human consumption. Here our shaman will instruct us in walking exercises and a meditation in the center circle of this amazing power spot. After our picnic lunch, we continue to the salt mines of Maras, amazing ponds terraced down the Andean mountainside. Still in use today, these ponds are filled from a single salty spring. (BLD)

Day 5—This morning Mallku will lead our group in a powerful Wachuma (a sacred plant medicine) ceremony. Matra SilverIn the afternoon we will explore the absolutely unique and ancient city of Ollantaytambo, where the buildings still retain the original architecture of the Incas. We will have an opportunity to enter into one of the homes and see how the people have and continue to live for hundreds of years. As we explore the vast temple complex adjacent to the village, we will engage in ceremony. Our climb to the top takes us to the Sun Temple, whose huge granite blocks were mysteriously placed overlooking the village and the Urubamba River. (There are two ways up and down that are more or less steep.) Overnight in the Sacred Valley. (LD)

Day 6— This morning we will take the spectacular train ride to Aguas Calientes, where we will check into our hotel before visiting the famed city of Machu Picchu, known variously as the Rainbow City, the City of the Condor and the Hummingbird, the City of Peace, the City of Light, and named by Mallku as the Crystal City. The legendary beauty of this magnificent city defies description. There are many trails and power sites to explore here, and we will have ample opportunity for ceremony to open to a deeper experience of the intrinsic magic if this amazing city and temples. We will overnight in Aquas Caliente. (B)

OllyDay 7 — Early in the morning we enter Machu Picchu to take part in ceremony for a deeper journey into the inner path. The afternoon will allow time for climbing and hiking around the city. In the evening you will have the opportunity to bathe in the hot springs of Aguas Caliente. Overnight at Aquas Caliente. (BD)

Day 8— Morning at leisure, for shopping, or optional return to Machu Picchu. Those intrepid travelers who love to climb can reach the top of Waynapicchu, the glorious pinnacle overlooking Machu Picchu, Machu Picchuor follow the trail that takes you to the Sun Gate, the original entrance still reached by hikers on the Inca Trail. We return to Cusco on an afternoon train, and overnight in the “navel of the world.” (B)

Machu PicchuDay 9— Morning visit Tipon, an ancient agricultural site with many terraces and an intricate irrigation system that culminates at a Temple of the Water. We stop in Cusco for lunch then on to visit Amaru Machay, the cave of the Serpents, and Quenqo, the sacred place of the Puma. Mallku is a specialist in Quenqo and its rich lore and history, and will guide ceremonies at these powerful locations. Overnight in Cusco. (B)

TiponDay 10– Today we will explore Sacsayhuaman is a huge, stunning site which holds the great house of the sun, where the head of the Puma of Cusco resides. Its megalithic, zigzag stonewalls were pieced together with amazing skill, drawing the teeth of the Puma, drawing the snake and other Andean symbols like a lightening bolt across a great field. Mallku offers another ceremony with the plant power medicine of Wachuma to gain confidence in our souls and our unique purpose, and to celebrate our growth and transformation (the day for this ceremony may be changed according to the flow of our journey). After our ritual, we will return to Cusco to break our fast. Overnight in Cusco (B).
